Whether it is Wildwood By The Sea, North Wildwood,or Wildwood Crest there is something for everyone. Wildwood is known as the Doo Wop capital of the world with its neon lights and period enticements. The famous artificial towering palms have been named the "official island tree" by Governor Whitman. There is 5 miles of beautiful beach. There is the 2.5 mile boardwalk with more attractions than Disney. For the sportsperson there are all sorts of water sports and fishing. There is whale and dolphin watching and sea fishing. The island is full of culinary delights. Weekends in Wildwood usually have a special theme and flavor of their own. There are Irish celebrations, The Mummers, Motorcycle Weekends, international kite contests, craft fairs, the marble championship, movies on the beach, and lots of family fun. If that isn't enough, beautiful Victorian Cape May is close by as are the bright lights of Atlantic City. Come to the Wildwoods and see how nice it can be to get away to the beach!
